Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and GradeYield (“GradeYield,” “we,” “us”) that governs your use of our website, calculator, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you’re using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
2. What GradeYield does
GradeYield is a set of decision-support tools for sports-card graders and resellers. It includes a profit calculator, SlabReserve (saved cards), Profit Tracker, Batch Analyzer, Compare view, and Comp Lookup. All of it runs on inputs you provide and public market data we pull on your behalf.
The Service is informational only. It produces estimates, not guarantees. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2.5 Data freshness and accuracy
The Service displays market data sourced from third-party marketplaces and grading companies (including eBay and the publicly-stated fee and tier information of grading companies such as PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC). This data may be cached, delayed, incomplete, or contain errors introduced by the underlying source. We do not warrant that any price, comp, fee, turnaround time, population figure, or grade-rate displayed in the Service is current, complete, or accurate, and we do not commit to any specific data refresh interval.
You are responsible for independently verifying any number that materially affects your decision before you act on it.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough in your jurisdiction to form a binding contract to purchase a paid subscription. The Service isn’t intended for children under 13.
4. Accounts
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know right away at support@gradeyield.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and don’t create an account for anyone other than yourself (or the business you represent).
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
GradeYield offers a Free tier and a Pro subscription. Pro unlocks additional features and higher limits as described on our Pricing page.
- Payment processor. All payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s own terms. We never receive your full card number.
- Auto-renewal. Pro renews automatically (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you pick) at the then-current rate until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from your account. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period; you won’t be charged again after that.
- Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law, or at our discretion for billing errors. We don’t pro-rate partial months.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes take effect on your next renewal.
- Taxes. Prices shown may exclude applicable taxes, which you’re responsible for.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or third party’s rights.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law.
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure (including abusing our API quotas or eBay-backed lookups).
- Resell, sublicense, or make the Service available as a hosted offering to third parties without our written consent.
- Use bots, automated agents, or credential sharing to bypass plan limits.
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or misleading.
7. Your content and our IP
You own the card data, notes, and inputs you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you. We do not sell Your Content and we don’t use it to train public models.
The Service itself — including the software, UI, text, graphics, logos, and aggregated analytics — belongs to GradeYield and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
7.5 Image uploads (Centering Pre-Screen)
When you use the Centering Pre-Screen, you may upload images of cards from your device. By uploading an image, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the image or have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to upload and process it through the Service;
- the image does not infringe any third party’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, and does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited content; and
- the image is of a trading card or related collectible — not of a person, identification document, payment instrument, or other sensitive subject — and does not contain personal data of any third party.
Centering analysis runs locally in your browser. Uploaded images are processed in-browser to compute centering measurements and are not transmitted to or stored on GradeYield’s servers as part of normal operation. You retain ownership of your images. You grant GradeYield a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process the image solely on your device for the purpose of operating the Centering Pre-Screen for you. We do not use uploaded images to train models. If a future feature requires server-side processing of an image, we will disclose that and obtain your consent before processing.
8. Not financial, investment, or tax advice
GradeYield is informational only. Nothing in the calculator, SlabReserve, Profit Tracker, Batch Analyzer, Compare view, Comp Lookup, emails, or any other output constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
Our outputs are estimates computed from your inputs and public market data; they are not predictions or guarantees. Card values, grading outcomes, and marketplace fees are volatile and may differ materially from what the tool shows. You are solely responsible for your grading, buying, and selling decisions and for any taxes owed. Consult a qualified professional before making material financial decisions.
Outputs depend on inputs you choose, including grade-rate probabilities. Reasonable people can disagree on those inputs, and small changes can produce materially different recommendations. The Service does not predict whether PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, or any other grading company will assign any particular grade.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties, including Supabase (auth and database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and the eBay Browse API (public listing lookups). We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their availability, accuracy, or terms. Your use of them may be subject to their own agreements.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We don’t warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that results obtained from it will be accurate or reliable.
Without limiting the foregoing, we specifically disclaim any warranty that: (a) the Service will be available without interruption or error; (b) any data, comp, price, fee, turnaround time, population figure, or grade probability shown will be accurate, current, or complete; (c) any recommendation, signal, or estimate will match real-world outcomes; or (d) any third-party data source we integrate with (including eBay and the publicly-stated information of grading companies such as PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC) will be available, accurate, or unchanged.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GradeYield and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — even if we’ve been advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You’ll indemnify and hold GradeYield harmless from any claim, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account by emailing support@gradeyield.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your data (subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy). Sections intended to survive termination — including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give you a more visible notice (in-app or by email). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
